Tshewang Dorji is a Master Sculptor from the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, presently working in Toronto, Canada.
Over the past 20 years, Tshewang has had works commissioned in Nepal, Bhutan, France, Belgium, and Canada. His work is primarily sacred Buddhist images sculpted in clay, finished as greenware (unfired), and gilded or painted. Tshewang served a lengthy apprenticeship under the sculptor Omtong in Bhutan, Nepal, and India during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
